Understanding the Occupational
Health and Safety Act

The goal of this program is to prepare management & JHSC individuals to be proficient in the setup and operation of the health and safety program in the workplace, including accident investigation in reporting, inspections and documentation, monitoring and follow-up, planning and prevention, training and communications, lines of responsibility. The course covers the fundamentals of safety management, roles, duties and responsibilities of management and the penalties associated with negligence or fraud. A key management course to establish ones competency as defined by the Health And Safety Act. |

Testing for certification has a mandatory minimum as set out in the Occupational Health & Safety Act. |

Objective |
The objective of this suite of courses is to develop an in-depth knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of management with regard to Health And Safety legislation and Bill C-45 and their application in the workplace. |
