The goal of this program is to prepare individuals to be proficient in the proper procedure to initiate and recover from a lock out Tagout situation. The course provides the background knowledge and clear understanding of reasons for and consequences of Lockout/Tagout procedures as they pertain to the prevention of serious injury or death in the workplace. The responsibility and duties of due diligence and attention to details are covered as are the strict adherence to procedure. Awareness of tagging and locking devices and their appropriate use in the securing of machinery and equipment for maintenance or movement. |
