Occupational Health and Safety Applications |
| |
Workplace safety is a large and growing concern for both government and business. Workplace injuries can cause permanent disability or death. For employers, this can represent law suits, disability claims, re-training costs, and costly downtime in addition to the obvious tragedy of an injured employee. Prevention of injury is the primary focus of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the numerous safe work associations in the private sector. As such, there is a growing need for Safety professionals who can work within the guidelines of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and implement appropriate safety practices and procedures in the workplace. |
