Back and Lifting Safety Training

  The goal of this program is to prepare individuals to utilize proper lifting techniques to avoid strain, compression or fracture injuries on the job. The course covers the basic understanding of the form and function of the skeletal muscular system and the possible injuries to the back resulting from improper lifting techniques. The individual will learn the proper lifting techniques and understand how this will minimize strain injuries, reducing down time, discomfort and increasing productivity. This course is considered essential to all workers due to the fact that back injury is the number one injury in the work place.
  Certification This course meets the mandatory requirements for Certification as set out in the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  Objective The objective of this course is to develop an understanding of the skeletal muscular system and the possible injuries to the back resulting from improper lifting techniques. Participants will learn the proper techniques and how to avoid strains and injury.
