Statistical Data Analysis: SPSS 17.0

 
SPSS is a powerful Data Analytical tool.  It is mainly used for generating statistical reports in Heath research and financial organizations. Upon completion this course students will become proficient in using SPSS and analyzing statistical data.
  OBJECTIVE This course provides an in depth knowledge of SPSS.16.0. Topics include Data Analysis, Data Management, Data Processing, Graphs, Significant Test, Sampling Technique, Programming and interpretation of analytical outcomes.
  DESIGNATION Analyst
  FORMAT Part-time
  DURATION 3 Saturdays (part-time, 3 x 7 = 21 hrs )
  PREREQUISITES Grade 12 or equivalent or mature student status (19 years of age or older).  An aptitude test may be required.

  • Data Analysis – Health Research and financial data
  • Data Management – Organizational research data
  • Data Processing – Consistency check and improve data quality
  • Graphs – Creating and editing charts
  • Significant Test for Chi-square test, t-test and F-test
  • Sampling Technique – probability and non-probability sampling methods.
  • Programming – Writing program in SPSS and reduce analytical time and research cost
  • Interpretation of analytical outcomes
