This program is an extension of our Accounting and Business Applications program. It includes the Payroll Compliance Certificate as part of a focused, hands-on diploma. For individuals without an accounting background, we have included a Bookkeeping Theory module, which provides a conceptual understanding of accounting procedures. Students receive hands-on training in business analysis, database management, business presentations, and the accounting using the latest Microsoft Office Business Applications and Computerized Accounting software used by Canadian employers. Studies incorporating the managing the processing of salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other forms of compensation are included. Students will gain knowledge of audits, income tax forms, health benefits programs, sick pay and retirement plans. As a graduate, you are equipped with the skills required for a challenging and rewarding career in bookkeeping and accounting. Success will bring solutions for your employer or your own business enterprise. A personal and professional development course concludes the program in order to assist graduates to return to the work force in a timely and smoother transition. The course includes job search strategies and interview techniques. Certifications: This program will prepare the candidates to achieve MCAS 2007 (most advance level of Microsoft) certifications. We are a member of The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA), the national association representing the payroll community of Canada. Graduates from this program are eligible for the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), issued by CPA. |
